Want to run Simple Voice Chat on your server so you can chat with players over voice in-game? This guide will walk you through the process of getting it configured!

How do I set up Simple Voice Chat?

  1. Open your server's control panel then start up your server to ensure that all of the configuration files for the mod generate.

  2. Once your server has fully started, stop the server.

  3. Navigate to the File Manager by clicking "Files" at the top of the page.

  4. Navigate to Simple Voice Chat's configuration file.
    - On Forge the config file will be located in /<world name>/serverconfig/voicechat-server.toml
    - On Fabric the config file will be located in /config/voicechat/voicechat-server.properties

    - On Paper or Spigot the config file will be located in /plugins/voicechat/voicechat-server.properties

  5. Inside the configuration file, change the bind_address value to your server's IP address.

  6. Save the changes, then restart your server and the mod should load properly!

Do I need to forward any ports?

Nope! Just about every port above 1024 is open, so you won't need to make any changes to accept traffic over Simple Voice Chat's default port 24454.
