Over the past 7+ years, CubedHost has partnered with hundreds of content producers, educational groups, non-profit organizations, Minecraft networks, and more. This experience has allowed us to improve our Partner Program immensely. We've gained some wonderful friends, built meaningful and successful business relationships, and we continually welcome new partners into the fold.

If you are interested in being a partner of CubedHost, we ask that you please set aside the time to read over this article in full so you may better understand our expectations when you apply. We appreciate your time and we thank you for being here!

Please note that we are no longer accepting applications for the following:

  • Minecraft build teams
  • Minecraft communities/networks (for serious business inquiries, you may contact our Sales team)
  • Plugin/Mod/Modpack developers or programmers (excluding verified educational programs); see more information here
  • Multi-game communities, including e-Sports teams/organizations

Requirements

All partners, for any category, must be willing to adhere to the following requirements:

  • Comply with our Terms of Service
  • Advertise as requested
  • Maintain active, open communication with our team via Intercom (blue bubble in the bottom-right of the website) or Discord (private server)
  • Notify our team within a timely manner of any desire to discontinue service, any major change in content, targeted audience, etc.
  • Cease any existing partnerships/advertisement with competing hosting companies if you are partnered with the competitor for Minecraft services

Guidelines

Non-Profit Organizations

If you are the owner or representative of a legally recognizable non-profit organization, you may apply on behalf of the organization so long as the request is non-personal. Services provided under this type of partnership may not be acquired for personal use and requests will be declined if a valid reason for our services is not provided.

You must be at least 18 years old to apply on behalf of a non-profit organization and you must be able to verify your affiliation with the organization you claim to represent.

Educational Use

If you are the owner or representative of a legally recognizable educational institute/organization, a leader of a verifiable education-based camp or group, you may apply on behalf of your party so long as the request is non-personal. Services provided under this type of partnership may not be acquired for personal use and requests will be declined if a valid reason for our services is not provided.

You must be at least 16 years old to apply for an educational-use partnership and you must be able to verify your affiliation with the party you claim to represent.

YouTube Content Producers

If you are the owner of an active, Minecraft-based YouTube channel meeting the minimum requirements listed below, you may apply for a partnership.
As a CubedHost Partner producing content on YouTube, we ask that you advertise on all relevant video descriptions. Some partners opt to also advertise on other videos, within videos, and on custom links (with the CubedHost link featured) to help increase referral traffic. We certainly appreciate this and will encourage it, though it is not a requirement.

The following requirements are for a single YouTube channel, not to be combined when multiple channels are considered or for any other platform.

  • 5,000+ subscribers
  • 1,000+ views on average per new upload on Minecraft-based videos
  • New Minecraft-based uploads at least 2-3 times per week (videos should be at least 15 minutes long)
  • Consistency with uploads/content
  • Brand-positive signs (use of social media, correct links on channel, etc.)
  • 50+ total uploads (must be primarily Minecraft-based)
  • Channel age of at least 6 months

Content, subscribers, and views must be genuine. If we do not have the ability to appropriately review your channel and/or your statistics appear to have been boosted (i.e. paid for), you will be considered ineligible for a partnership.

We do consider applications from YouTuber teams/groups/etc., however...

  • All members must be on board with the partnership (we'll need a brief message from each member to verify this).
  • One team member must be designated as the account manager / lead point of contact (you will be able to add others as contacts/admins as needed).
  • The majority of members on the team must meet our requirements on an individual level; we will not consider teams on a collective basis.

You must be at least 16 years old to apply for a partnership as a content producer. Content producers must apply personally and not through a proxy (such as a channel manager, friend, or moderator).

Streamers (Mixer or Twitch)

If you are the owner of an active, Minecraft-based streaming channel on Mixer or Twitch meeting the minimum requirements listed below, you may apply for a partnership.
As a CubedHost Partner producing live content, we ask that you advertise on your channel below your stream video. On Mixer, this is done within the "About" area. On Twitch, this is done within Twitch panels.
Some partners also opt to advertise on-stream, in-chat, etc. to help increase referral traffic. We certainly appreciate this and will encourage it, though it is not a requirement.

The following requirements are for a single streaming channel, not to be combined when multiple channels are considered or for any platforms other than Mixer or Twitch.

  • 3,000+ followers
  • Minecraft-based streams at least 2-3 times per week (at least 2 hours long)
  • 12 or more streams per month
  • 20+ average viewers per Minecraft stream
  • Consistent, clear schedule
  • Chat moderation
  • Brand-positive signs (use of social media, correct links on channel, etc.)
  • Channel age of at least 3 months

Content, followers, and views must be genuine. If we do not have the ability to appropriately review your channel and/or your statistics appear to have been boosted (through false accounts, reruns, raids, etc.), you will be considered ineligible for a partnership.

We do consider applications from Mixer or Twitch teams, however...

Application Process

Preparation

Prior to applying for a partnership, we ask that you prepare yourself for the application process. This means that you've read this article, you're aware of your what your needs are in terms of a sponsorship, you have relevant links ready to share (e.g. You have your channel link ready if you're a content producer), and you are applying at an ideal time (applying just before you head on a two-week vacation is not ideal).

You may also consider registering an account with CubedHost if you do not already have one. Your profile may be modified here if necessary.

Verification

All applicants are expected to verify their identity.

  • Content Producers: Verification may be completed by sending us a private message on Twitter or Twitch.
  • Educational Use (Student): If you are a student representing a school group, send an email to [email protected] with the supervisory teacher/adviser copied and ask that they reply-all on the email to validate your request. If you have an assigned school email address, this is the email address you should be using.
  • Educational Use (Company/Org): If you are representing a company/organization, send an email to [email protected] from your business email (if necessary, copy another team member from the company/org to validate your request).
  • Non-Profit Organization: If you are representing a non-profit organization, send an email to [email protected] from your business email (if necessary, copy another team member from the org to validate your request).

Application

You may apply by opening a conversation with our team using the blue bubble found in the bottom-right of our website and including your application message within.
Please be sure to include details relevant to your request and let us know if you've already completed the verification step. We'd also love to know how you heard about CubedHost and why you're interested in us for your sponsorship needs!

  • Content Producers: Don't forget to provide a link to your channel(s)! (If applying on behalf of a team, please provide a link to the team as well!)

By submitting an application, you are confirming your age and your understanding of our requirements and guidelines. False information may lead to immediate dismissal of your application.

Wait Time

Our average response time is typically one hour or less. Upon contacting our team initially, you'll likely be greeted by a team member and directed to our Partnerships Success team so we can review your application. From there, you should receive a response within 24-72 hours.

The full application process may take several days as we take the time to discuss your needs, any concerns, etc. prior to finalizing our decision.

Your patience throughout the process is very appreciated!

Next Steps

Once your application has been received and approved, our Partnership Success team will discuss your partnership stage/offer with you further.
Once you have accepted a partnership offer, we will begin the setup process which includes:

  • Custom affiliate link
  • Custom promotional code
  • Service setup
  • Affiliate account activation/modification

Trial Partner (Content Producers)

Content Producers typically join our Partner Program on a trial basis. This allows you to trial our services at no cost while allowing our team the opportunity to hone in on your content, metrics, communication, etc. throughout the trial period so we can ensure a successful partnership should both parties opt to continue at the trial's end.

Trial periods last no less than one month unless we feel that the partnership is not mutually beneficial and/or there is a major concern (such as a major change in content, racial content, etc.)

We ask that you treat the trial period as you would a full partnership.

Sponsorships

Any of our services may be covered under a sponsorship. All active partners will be offered at least one full sponsorship for Minecraft services and additional sponsorships will be offered upon review.
Inactive partners will receive a sponsorship discount on a recurring basis no less than 25% off per service, per month.
Bare metal service sponsorships are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Declined Applications

Our Right

We reserve the right to decline any application at any time, for any reason, and we are under no obligation to provide a reason as to why an application has been declined.
Concerns may be sent to [email protected].

Content Restrictions

As we have a duty to protect our public image as a company, we limit our sharing of certain content. If your brand may reflect negatively on ours (see "Common Reasons for Declined Applications" below), you may be ineligible for a partnership with CubedHost.

Common Reasons for Declined Applications

  • Depictions and/or language relating to extreme/graphical violence, sexual content, substance abuse, and/or illegal activities
  • Negative history with and/or public slander of other individuals or companies
  • Clear violations of affiliated company legal agreements (EULA, Terms of Service, Code of Conduct, etc.)
  • Politically-charged content and/or affiliations with strongly associated political movements

F.A.Q.

Q: I stream (on Mixer or Twitch) and upload videos on YouTube. Can you consider both channels?

A: If you actively produce Minecraft content on YouTube, as well as stream Minecraft content on Mixer or Twitch, please provide links to both channels and let us know which channel you may consider your primary and whether or not you have future plans for one or the other. We will take both sources into consideration when reviewing your application, though we ask that at least one of your channels meets our requirements if you wish to apply.

Q: I recently switched to another platform (e.g. from YouTube to Mixer). Can you review both and make a decision from there?

A: Thank you for taking the time to read through this article! We understand that many content producers shift between platforms for various reasons (Twitch/Mixer, YouTube/streaming, etc.) For this reason, we will do our best to consider applications from anyone with an established community making a legitimate attempt to switch to/promote a new platform for their content. Please simply note that we may decline the application if we see no evidence that you may be moving over/adding the additional source to your repertoire.

Q: If my application was declined, may I re-apply?

A: We ask that you please take the time to consider why your application may have been declined before you consider submitting another request. Frequent applications may result in a permanent decline from our partner program.

Q: If I only meet some of your requirements, can I apply anyway?

A: Anyone is welcome to apply at any time. However, our requirements were set in place after careful consideration and it's unlikely we'll accept any requests for applicants not meeting all requirements listed (please note there are no exceptions for non-profit organizations without a legal status).

Q: I'd like to apply on behalf of a group of content producers. Is this possible?

A: Yes. We do accept group applications. However, someone must be appointed as the point of contact and that person must be the one to contact our team. From there, all members of the group should be linked to our team and group members must provide verification that they are willing to participate as part of the group. Note that the majority of producers in the group must meet the content producer requirements individually. We will not approve applications for groups that appear defunct.

Q: I used to be a partner and it didn't end well. Can I try again?

A: We ask that any previous trial partners wait at least 3 months from the end of their trial before re-applying. From there, we will review and determine eligibility. If you were an official partner (not a trial) and your partnership was terminated, we ask that you wait at least 6 months before re-applying.

Q: Do you offer anything other than Minecraft for partners?

A: At this time, we are only able to offer Minecraft services. We may be able to provide select partners with bare metal servers (from which you can host any game servers you'd like), however, we do not have sufficient support available for alternate games.
